Kick Ass

This film was completely outrageous, entertaining and thoroughly shocking at times! I love it! It was Quentin Tarantino violent at times with the most shocking dialogue not characteristic to American cinema which lead me to research the writers and directors and wasn't surprised to find out that Matthew Vaughn was attached to it; as he was attached to such films as Snatch and Layer Cake! What threw me off was the American actors and an American story mixed with a British style of language WITHOUT the British, if that makes sense! This film was exciting, ludicrous, bordering on ridiculous at every moment which made it one deliriously and quite delicious ride! Chloe Moretz should get an Oscar for this role, but she won't because her role was totally controversial! She is an 11 year old ASSASSIN! I dug her no nonsense delivery and shocking language. It made for a wild ride of SURPRISE..This movie should have been titled HIT GIRL, not KICK ASS. From her first scene with her father, played skillfully by Nicholas Cage, where she delights the viewer dropping the "F" bomb to a non reactive father as they eat casually. Like I said, LUDICROUS.. and FABULOUS. Anyone wanting to be entertained, should definitely rent this DVD. If you are easily offended, don't bother, but if you have a irreverent sense of humor, and like a little Quentin-esque type humor, RUN AND GET IT NOW! Don't let the superhero spin turn you off of a raucous good time!
